You can sample this tasty dishes like this one from Abacus at the Knox-Henderson Dishcrawl on Tuesday, June 18.

Two Neighborhoods separated by a divide that is the Central Expressway yet connected by two streets that have a lot in common and have become a corridor with all kinds of things to do. One thing is for certain, if you’re hungry, you’ve come to the right place because there is no shortage of places to eat! Knox Street and Henderson Avenue have seamlessly become one, ubiquitously known as Knox-Henderson it has become a restaurant row in its own right.

Right in the cut between Highland Park, Uptown Dallas and M Street, Old East Dallas and Lower Greenville it draws a very eclectic crowd and with so many great restaurants from casual (Neighborhood Services) to fine dining (Abacus), bar concepts with the perfect niche (Barcadia), unique coffee shops, and so much more all within walking distance. The Knox-Henderson area is perfectly tailored for Dishcrawl.

Just recently D Magazine’s very own Nancy Nichols ranked The Top 100 Restaurants in Dallas. In a city as big and vast like Dallas, and its immediate surroundings, eating choices are infinite. Nine of Knox-Henderson’s restaurants earned their places on that list: Hibiscus, Abacus, Mr. Mesero, Sissy’s Southern Kitchen & Bar, Fireside Pies, Tei Tei Robata Bar, Victor Tangos, La Duni, and The Porch.

I am sure you want to know what restaurants we will be visiting, but we like to keep that a secret as long as possible. I have put some hints on Facebook and Twitter in case you are curious. What I can tell you is that for the first of several dishcrawls in the Knox-Henderson area we will be tasting 2 of the 9 restaurants that made it on to D Magazine latest “Top 100 Restaurants in Dallas” list.

Part of the Dishcrawl experience is the crawl itself from restaurant to restaurant and with a vibe that spans to from the traditional to the hip & funky, it is often bustling with people enjoying all the great things.
